Tracey Conyer Lee
A multidisciplinary artist in NYC, Tracey’s award-winning playwriting includes selection alongside her most lauded peers, colleagues, and inspirations in 25 Plays From The Fire This Time Festival, an anthology published by Bloomsbury Press (Methuen Drama). Her plays have been produced in NYC, Chicago, Nashville, and DC and will next premiere in NJ (spring 2024). Tracey is an award-winning director and script consultant with Off and Off-Off Broadway credits, including the Obie-winning Fire This Time Festival and Sistas, the Musical!, the longest-running black musical in NYC history. She has acted in original Off-Broadway companies, regionally--including an upcoming 7th production as Billie Holiday in Lady Day At Emerson’s Bar & Grill—internationally and on the big and small screens. You can find her recurring on seasons 3-5 of FBI on CBS. She’s an avid audiobook narrator for Black authors. She is a singer in service and a proud member of the Tony Award-honored Broadway Inspirational Voices. She recently sang on the White House South Lawn for President Biden and VP Harris’s first annual Juneteenth celebration. She is the humbled co-founder of Be Ready, a non-profit offering Black and brown students, for free, the professional presence training she teaches in corporate America. She holds an MFA in playwrighting and a BA in Theatre.
